CAVIAR EXTRACT – A biomimetic reparative ingredient derived from sturgeon species, rich in structural and functional elements similar in composition to human skin. It contains: complete proteins (including all essential amino acids), phospholipids and omega-3/-6 fatty acids, nucleotides and DNA/RNA complexes, micro- and macroelements (Se, Zn, Mg, P), antioxidants (vitamins A, E, D, carotenoids).
Mechanisms of influence on the skin:
- Stimulation of cellular activity and regeneration. Caviar extract is rich in nucleotides and biogenic amino acids, which promote the activation of fibroblasts, accelerating the synthesis of key extracellular matrix proteins (collagen I, III and elastin); enhance the proliferation and metabolism of keratinocytes – which accelerates the renewal of the epidermis; restore skin structures after damage, including microdamages from laser, acid and mechanical procedures. This is especially important for mature skin with slowed regeneration processes and a tendency to atony.
- Strengthening the skin barrier. Due to the high concentration of phospholipids and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), caviar extract restructures the intercellular lipids of the stratum corneum, restoring its integrity and reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL); improves the plasticity and elasticity of cell membranes, which contributes to faster recovery after aggressive effects (acids, peels, dermabrasion, etc.).
- Antioxidant and photoprotective protection. Caviar has tocopherols, vitamin A, carotenoids, selenium and zinc that neutralize free radicals that are formed in the skin under the influence of UV radiation and inflammatory processes. They also suppress chronic microinflammation, typical of mature and reactive skin, reduce the activity of metalloproteinases (MMPs), which destroy collagen and elastin under conditions of oxidative stress.
- Moisturizing and restoring water balance. The presence of hygroscopic components (amino acids, glycerin, sugars) helps retain moisture in the epidermis and maintain the skin’s natural moisturizing factor (NMF).
- Mild immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effect. The production of IL-1α and TNF-α, which are responsible for the development of inflammation, is reduced, and skin recovery after chemical and mechanical microdamage is accelerated.
PEPTIDES PALMITOYL TETRAPEPTIDE-7 AND PALMITOYL TRIPEPTIDE-5
Both peptides are signaling molecules that affect the genetic activity of fibroblasts, specifically regulating inflammation, extracellular matrix protein synthesis, and skin repair.
Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 is a tetrapeptide consisting of four amino acids linked to palmitic acid, which provides better penetration through the lipid barrier of the skin. It blocks the activation of NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-B), a protein complex that plays a key role in inflammatory processes. Due to the reduction in NF-κB activity, the expression of genes responsible for the synthesis of IL-6 decreases, which, in turn, reduces chronic inflammation and slows down the skin aging process (inflammaging). Furthermore, it reduces the destruction of the extracellular matrix (ECM) by inhibiting the activity of MMP enzymes (matrix metalloproteinases), which break down collagen and other dermal proteins.
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 (Syn-Coll) mimics natural signal peptides that activate TGF-β (transforming growth factor-beta). TGF-β is a key factor that triggers the expression of genes responsible for collagen synthesis. When Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 binds to TGF-β receptors, it “turns on” the mechanism for the synthesis of new collagen. Additionally, it inhibits the activity of MMP-1 (collagenase), an enzyme that destroys collagen fibers, which helps preserve existing collagen, strengthen the dermis and improve skin texture. Provides a “fibroblast-like” effect by activating reparative processes in the dermis.
The joint use of peptides provides both rapid relief of inflammation and long-term restoration of the dermal structure.
EDELWEISS EXTRACT – A delicate alpine component with high biological activity and a unique dermatological profile. Edelweiss is a unique plant that grows in extreme highland conditions (at an altitude of 1500 to 3000 m), where it produces powerful protective and adaptogenic mechanisms for survival in conditions of high insolation, temperature changes and moisture deficiency. These properties have become the basis for its use in cosmetology.
The extract is obtained from flowers and leaves, the richest in phenolic acids, flavonoids and leontopodic acid – biomolecules with high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.
Leontopodic acid (Leontopodic acid A and B) is an exclusive marker of edelweiss, which has a powerful antioxidant, vasoconstrictor and anti-inflammatory effect. Chlorogenic acid reduces oxidative stress, inhibits lipid peroxidation, and has a photoprotective effect. Flavonoids (apigenin, luteolin, quercetin) stabilize capillaries, normalize microcirculation, reduce swelling and redness. Phenolic compounds regulate inflammatory mediators, block MMP (metalloproteinases), which destroy collagen.
Edelweiss extract acts as a natural antioxidant with an efficiency comparable to or higher than vitamin C and coenzyme Q10. Neutralizes reactive oxygen species (ROS) formed under the influence of UV, aggressive procedures and inflammation, reduces the level of chronic microinflammation, which plays a key role in age-related skin changes, protects mitochondrial DNA from oxidative damage.
The anti-inflammatory and soothing effect of the extract is manifested primarily in inhibiting the release of pro-inflammatory mediators. It helps reduce the activity of NF-κB, the main transcription factor of inflammation, reduces the expression of IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-α, thereby reducing redness, irritation, itching, and also inhibits the degranulation of mast cells and the release of histamine.
Due to the high content of flavonoids and leiontopodic acid, the strength of capillary walls increases, the tendency to couperose and stagnant erythema decreases, and microcirculation improves, which contributes to active cell nutrition and the outflow of inflammatory products.
Edelweiss extract provides “smart” protection: it simultaneously suppresses inflammation, activates recovery, strengthens the dermis and protects against further damage.
ARGAN OIL – A valuable lipid component with multifactorial action. Argan oil is rich in essential fatty acids (linoleic, oleic, palmitic, stearic), squalene (a natural component of sebum), tocopherols (including vitamin E). These components are incorporated into the intercellular lipid layers of the stratum corneum, restore the integrity of the epidermal barrier, and reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
Argan oil acts as a conductor of lipophilic substances – improves the penetration of vitamins (A, E, F), peptides, plant extracts, potentiates their effect at the dermis level, and also works synergistically with shea butter in the lipophilic phase of the mask.
Due to its texture and high compatibility with the skin, argan oil instantly softens the skin, gives a feeling of comfort, “nourishment”, improves elasticity and turgor, especially in aged skin with lipid deficiency, is suitable even for reactive, irritated skin, does not cause comedones and is well tolerated. Argan oil provides the effect of “skin after a spa” – softness, elasticity, healthy glow.
